International Benchmarking Trip to Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia last April 11 – 15, 2012

12 Members of the Faculty and Staff participated in the International Benchmarking Trip to Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia last April 11 – 15, 2012. The trip is an executive development program of the college for its top and middle management team. Lead by the Vice President for Academic Affairs Mar G. Tayamen as chief of Party, the group visited National University of Singapore, the Universiti Tun Hussein Malaysia in Johor, Malaysia and the Polytechnic Negeri Batam in Indonesia.

The group was able to forge ties and create linkages for Holy Trinity College as they met with their counterparts in the aforementioned Universities.

Notable accomplishments of the trip were:

a.    Planned collaboration of HTC Sife Team with UTHM Sife Team.
b.    Dr. Behannudin Mohd Saleh of UTHM an expert in  Problem Based Learning as Resource Speaker for Mindanao Audience.
c.    MOA signing of student exchange with Polytechnic Negeri Batam in Indonesia.

The apparent success is attributed to the openness of the participating universities to pursue pathways of collaboration among institutions of higher learning in the Southeast Asian Region.
