HTC Earns Regional and Global Recognition at ASEAN Month 2026 Awarding and Culmination Program
SULTAN KUDARAT — Holy Trinity College (HTC) of General Santos City proudly marked another milestone as it received recognition during the ASEAN Month Awarding and Culmination Program held on August 27, 2026, at the Sultan Kudarat State University – Access Campus.
Organized under the auspices of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Regional Office XII, the culminating activity brought together higher education institutions across SOCCSKSARGEN to celebrate academic excellence, institutional achievements, and the region’s growing presence in the national and international higher education landscape.
The celebration followed the ASEAN Amazing Race, which was held earlier in the day at the Sultan Kudarat State University – Access Campus. After the race, participants proceeded to the convention center for an afternoon program highlighting the accomplishments of higher education institutions, top-performing graduates, and winners of various ASEAN Month activities.
The program opened with a prayer, the Philippine National Anthem, the ASEAN Anthem, the ASEAN 2026 Theme Song, and the CHED Hymn, followed by the acknowledgment of participants by Mr. Janreve M. Odango, Project Technical Staff III – Transnational Higher Education. The rationale of the event was presented by Mr. Danstone Guy P. Dayaday, Education Supervisor II and Internationalization Focal.
HTC Among Top Performing HEIs and Recognized for LET Excellence
One of the highlights of the afternoon was the Awarding of Top Performing Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and Topnotchers, where Holy Trinity College of General Santos City took center stage.
HTC was recognized for its achievement in producing top-ranking passers in the 2025 Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET). The recognition underscores the strength of HTC’s College of Teacher Education and its commitment to preparing future educators through quality instruction, dedicated faculty, and a culture of academic excellence.
The achievement is a source of pride for the HTC community, as the institution continues to demonstrate that regional higher education institutions can produce graduates who perform exceptionally well in national professional licensure examinations.

Adding to the institution’s achievements, HTC was also recognized during the Awarding of Category and Globally Ranked HEIs.
The recognition highlighted Holy Trinity College’s inclusion in the Times Higher Education (THE) rankings, marking another significant step in the institution’s pursuit of international visibility and competitiveness.
Being recognized alongside category and globally ranked higher education institutions reinforces HTC’s growing presence beyond the local and regional setting. It reflects the College’s continuing efforts toward sustainable development, academic research, quality education, and internationalization.

The program also featured a cultural performance, the presentation of the Get to Know ASEAN: Video Making winners, and the awarding of ASEAN Month 2026 winners before concluding with a closing message.
The day-long celebration brought together competition, culture, recognition, and collaboration—reflecting the spirit of ASEAN cooperation and the shared pursuit of excellence among higher education institutions.
