Protecting Nature for Future Generations: HTC Recognizes the Need for Biodiversity and Ecosystem Conservation
Holy Trinity College of General Santos City, Inc. recognizes the importance of protecting natural ecosystems and preserving biodiversity as essential components of sustainable development. The conservation of plants, wildlife, and natural habitats plays an important role in maintaining ecological balance, protecting natural resources, and supporting the well-being of present and future generations.
The College acknowledges the need to strengthen its institutional involvement in environmental conservation, particularly in protecting local ecosystems and biodiversity. While HTC does not yet have a formal institutional program specifically dedicated to maintaining or expanding existing ecosystems and wildlife habitats, it recognizes this as an important area for future development.
HTC also sees opportunities to extend environmental education and community engagement beyond the campus. At present, the College does not offer dedicated community programs focused on wild flora and fauna, sustainable agricultural land management, or the responsible use of land for tourism. Nevertheless, it intends to explore future initiatives that promote biodiversity awareness, sustainable farming practices, responsible land use, and environmentally conscious tourism.
Through its continuing commitment to institutional development and community engagement, HTC recognizes that environmental protection requires collective action, education, and long-term responsibility. The College aims to explore opportunities for partnerships and programs that can contribute to the conservation of local ecosystems and the sustainable management of natural resources.
